// Service
Grind brush, saplings, and small trees into a clean mulch cover — in a single pass.
Forestry mulching is the fastest, cleanest way to clear overgrown land. A tracked mulcher grinds standing vegetation in place, leaving a uniform layer of organic mulch that protects the soil, suppresses regrowth, and feeds the topsoil as it breaks down. No burn piles. No haul-off. No bulldozer scars.
// Benefits
// What this covers
Forestry mulching is a one-pass land clearing method that grinds trees, brush, saplings, and vines into a protective layer of mulch on the ground. It is faster than traditional clearing, cleaner than burning, and leaves the soil covered and protected. The work is done with a tracked machine that walks over the ground with low pressure, so it does not tear up the land like a bulldozer.

// FAQ
We bill by the hour, not by the acre. Most residential and small-acreage jobs in the Pinehurst / Southern Pines area run between half a day and two days of mulching. Density, stem size, and terrain are the biggest factors. We give you the hourly rate and an honest range during the on-site walk.
Our heads will grind standing stems up to 8″ in diameter routinely, and we'll take larger stems on a case-by-case basis. Anything bigger is usually cheaper to fell traditionally and mulch the tops.
Mulch laid over existing grass will smother it short-term, but the area greens back up quickly once the layer thins out. On pasture reclamation jobs we adjust depth so you can re-seed promptly.
Almost never — that's the point of mulching. The chips stay on-site as a free erosion barrier. If you want them removed for landscaping use, we can haul on request.
